Mohib
Mohib Ullah
Mohib is originally from Myanmar (Burma) and has been living in Australia since 2010. Before coming to Australia, he lived in a Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh for 18 years. This experience has given him a deep personal understanding of displacement, limited access to healthcare and the challenges refugees face when resettling and navigating complex health systems.
In Australia, Mohib has completed a Graduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership and has worked as a Cultural Advisor in Australian offshore processing centres in Nauru. Through this role, he supported vulnerable individuals and contributed cultural and community perspectives to service delivery in highly complex settings.
Mohib is well connected with refugee and migrant communities and has a strong interest in refugee health, mental health awareness and reducing stigma through culturally informed approaches. He is passionate about health equity, dignity in care and ensuring refugee voices are meaningfully included in health service planning and decision-making. Through his advisory work, he aims to support health systems that are inclusive and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
